Warning Glossary
Term Meaning
AU Alternative Universe
Angst Includes emotional pain, likely to make you reach for your hankerchiefs
SkullDeathfic Includes a character's death
Depression One of the characters suffers from depression
Fem-slash Very much like slash, but between women
Purple Flame I will use this when the author is on a roll and is producing really, really quickly. Or when I especially like that particular fic.
Something FluffyFluff Humour, is likely to contain a lot of OOC
Incest It means that two family members love each other in the lovers sense.
Yellow LemonLemon Contains a VERY explicit sexual scene, described in graphic detail
Green LimeLime Contains an implicit sexual encounter
Mpreg Male pregnancies, where a guy can become pregnant
NCS Non-Consensual Sex. ie, rape
OC Includes an original character
OFC Original Female Character
OMC Original Male Character
OOC Out-Of-Character: denotes some characters acting in a manner difficult to reconcile with the Gundam Wing anime itself
Pre-slash It's where you get that funny little feeling that two guys are going to get together.
PWP Plot, What Plot? Sheer smut, unencumbered by a plot
Something SappySap A lot of tears and OOC as characters act in a 'Love Story' fashion, never mind their real character
Seme The 'top' dominant sexual partner
2 BoysShounen ai Boy/boy romantic love
2 GirlsShoujo ai Girl/girl romantic love
Shotacon Sexual relationship between a child or an underage character and an adult
Slash Boy/boy or man/man sexual relationship, but while yaoi is used in anime fandoms, slash is more common for movie/book fandoms
Songfic Using a song's lyrics as a background
Squick Includes some gross concept or disgusting description that makes you go 'ewww!'
Twincest Incest between twins, as in twins are in a romantic relationship with each other.
TWT Timeline, What Timeline? indicates that the story will not bother with the niceties of sticking to the Gundam Wing timeline (49 episodes plus the OVA 'Endless Waltz', along with the handful of official mangas -the Episode Zero and Blind Target mangas-)
Uke The 'bottom' submissive sexual partner
Violence Not only for generic mission-related stuff, but mostly when it was affecting the char's personally
Yaoi Boy/boy or man/man sexual relationship
Yuri Girl/girl or woman/woman sexual relationship
+ Denotes a romantic relationship only. Sometimes an author will choose to let the reader know that the relationship is a friendly one instead of a romantic by stating it like 1+2 (friendly). However, most of the time, it'll be a romantic relationship.
x Means a sexual relationship, often explicitly described, but also implied. The seme is to the left of the x sign, the uke to the right. This expresses who is the dominant partner in the relationship in the sexual sense (so in a heterosexual relationship, it would always be male x female, unless it is a female domination fic). eg, 6x9, 13x6, 6x2, 1x2, etc...
/ I adopt this use for when numbers are not available to represent the pairing. It can be interpreted as either + and/or x from above. eg, Hiei/Kurama, Tala/Kai, etc...
Combination of Names in Pairing Lately, people have been getting away from the +, x, and / notations for the pairings. They've taken to combining the couple's names to denote a pairing. eg, Snarry would be a Severus Snape and Harry Potter pairing.

Translations
Note for Japanese Romanization: I will try to stick to a specific style, but hope to include all variations as I try to type them out (it's hard to do a macron). I'll be using a variation of modified Hepburn romanization where I either change long 'o' (usually denoted with a macron line over the o) into 'ou' or 'oo', and change long 'u' (usually denoted with a macron line over the u) into 'uu'. I suppose I could just follow the Kunrei-shiki or Nihon-shiki and put ^ over the letters like ô and û instead...
